My Story
Simply put, I became a Realtor to help my community. So much goes into each and every transaction, and I feel that it’s my responsibility to ensure clients receive the best experience possible. Each client is different and deserves an approach that’s custom-tailored to them. There is no one-size-fits-all approach in real estate.
I am proud to call Lexington home, and I have come to love central Kentucky. I have an abundance of friends, family and clients in our community, and I feel it’s my personal responsibility to care for every client who comes my way.
Before starting my career as a Realtor, I worked 27 years as a physical education and health teacher. After a successful career helping high school students pave a path for their best future, I now guide and facilitate adults through one of the most exciting and significant phases of their lives. I have served first-time homebuyers, seniors needing to "right size", relocations, and everyone in between.
During my time as a Realtor, I have helped clients buy and sell numerous types of properties. I have experienced that many transactions have unique challenges to them, and the property type purchased may have it’s own challenges as well.
I have helped clients with:
Buying their first home
Raw land, with dreams to build a new home on it
Farms and hobby farms
Numerous types of residential properties - single-family, townhomes, condos.
Each property type brings unique challenges.
In addition, I have worked through a variety of client experiences in their personal life:
Short-sales
Downsizing due to empty-nest scenarios
Upsizing due to expanding family needs
Estate sales or probated sites
Divorces
Second homes
Lake properties
Ever since young adulthood, I have been obsessed with "everything homes". I earned my real estate license as a young adult, but due to life demands, I waited to launch my Realtor career. After serving the educational community for many years, I decided to retire from teaching and to dive into real estate. I began by helping a friend (who was also a builder) with his business and greatly enjoyed it. He encouraged me to start full-time in real estate, advice which I took to heart. It has been easy transitioning with my people skills and love of real estate which has proven to be very successful.
I Love My Community
Known historically as the “Athens of the West,” Lexington’s place in history holds a special place in my heart. Anyone who calls our community home likely feels that our city is a special place, and the numerous awards we receive provide a tribute to that. From best places to live, for families, and for business, Lexington is a gem for those who know.
